We are living the dream! Our passion for skiing is what brought Brett and I together back in 2012. We met and fell in love, at Mustang Powder Lodge, where we both "work" as tail-guide/drivers! We bought a house in beautiful Kimberley, B.C. in 2017 which is where we create all of our inventory. Après Skied evolved from a backyard hobby to business following the world shut down of 2020.
BRETT
Brett grew up in Ontario and started skiing when he was 2 years old, skiing was a passion of his fathers which was passed on to him. He was a teacher in the Nancy Green ski program throughout high school.
In 1994 Brett headed west for Whistler to become a ski bum.... He made it to Lake Louise where he grew roots for about 13 years, driving snowcat and skiing as much as possible!
One day Brett got a call from a friend, who was working at a Cat-Skiing operation, they were short a snowcat operator and he asked if Brett could work the shift. He ended up moving to Revelstoke and has been working at Mustang since winter 06/07.
Brett became an incredibly talented snowcat operator while in Lake Louise, every year he goes back to help build the World Cup Downhill track. He has been a builder on the course for the past 25 years and he was also one of the builders of the World Cup Downhill track for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.
MICHELLE
Michelle grew up in B.C. in an avid ski family, as the youngest of 4 she had to learn quick to be able to keep up. She also started "skiing" at the age of 2. She started snowboarding when she was 13 and after about a decade went back to skiing.
Michelle started playing in the backcountry with her dad in her early teens. She graduated high school a semester early so she could move up to Apex and ride everyday.
She was a true ski bum, up at Apex for a few seasons and moved to Jackson Hole for an epic season, their best snowfall in 40 years.
One day Michelle's dad suggested that she work at a Cat-Skiing lodge, so she applied and got a job at Mustang Powder Lodge. At Mustang she learnt to drive snowcats and became a tail-guide/driver, she has been working there since the winter of 11/12.
